Hyungji Elite disclosed consolidated sales of 177.8 billion KRW and an operating profit of 8.4 billion KRW for the year from July to June, up 7% and 27% respectively compared to the previous year. Net income turned positive at 7.4 billion KRW after one-time accounting losses from the prior year were resolved. Traditionally known for school uniforms, Hyungji Elite is expanding its sports merchandising business, using intellectual property (IP) from professional baseball, e-sports, and sports variety shows to design, produce, and sell team uniforms, apparel, and goods. The company attributes improved results to growth in its sports merchandising segment and better operational efficiency, and says it will continue focusing on sustainable growth, profitability, and financial health.
