Busan conducted a culinary tour from the 26th to 28th of the month, hosting over 10 renowned chefs and food columnists from five countries, including Japan and China. Participants explored traditional markets like Jagalchi to savor local foods such as eel, street foods, and pork soup (dwaeji gukbap). The tour included visits to beachside restaurants to try creative dishes made with regional ingredients. A meeting facilitated discussions between Busan's mayor, local, and other international chefs. Busan aims to build culinary tourism ties and collaborate with global chefs. Mayor Park Hyung-joon emphasized Busan's potential as a leading city of culinary tourism, thanks to its fresh seafood and diverse food culture.
