In April, Seoul hosts two major classical music festivals: the 'Arts Center Symphony Festival' and the 'Seoul Spring Chamber Music Festival'. The Symphony Festival, held from April 1 to 20 at the Seoul Arts Center, features 18 orchestras and highlights young, talented conductors born in the 1980s and 1990s. Various performances celebrate composers like Ravel and Shostakovich. From April 22 to May 4, the Seoul Spring Chamber Music Festival is held across several venues, aiming to break the stereotype that chamber music is difficult to appreciate. It features unique programs inspired by the theme '20 Candles' and involves 69 artists. The festival also includes fringe events at popular locations like Namsan Seoul Tower.
