South Korean Actress Lee Joo-Young Debuts in Theater with 'Sanctuary City'

Actress Lee Joo-Young, known for her roles in films and dramas, will make her theater debut this April in 'Sanctuary City,' performed at Doosan Arts Center in Seoul. The play, written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Martyna Majok, explores the struggles of children of undocumented immigrants in post-9/11 New Jersey. Directed by Lee Oh-jin, the Korean premiere features themes of friendship, solidarity, love, and survival. Part of Doosan Humanities Theater 2025, the production aligns with their annual theme-based series highlighting 'region' this year.
