'Seafood Day' Event: Onnuri Gift Certificate Reimbursement at 106 Traditional Markets in South Korea

To celebrate 'Seafood Day,' the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries in South Korea is organizing an event from March 26 to April 1 across 106 traditional markets. Consumers purchasing local seafood can get up to a 30% reimbursement in Onnuri gift certificates (a type of voucher used in many Korean markets) up to 20,000 won per person. The reimbursement requires a visit to a designated booth at the market with a purchase receipt and ID. This initiative aims to boost seafood consumption and local economies. The event includes a visit by Minister Kang Do-hyeong to the Noryangjin Fish Market to engage with vendors and observe seafood prices.
