With the approach of cherry blossom season (March 25 to April 30), South Koreans are increasingly choosing Japan as their travel destination to enjoy the spring flowers. In January, Japan saw a surge in tourism during a six-day holiday period, with 96,000 Korean visitors. In February, over 180,000 Koreans traveled to Japan, leading experts to predict over 10 million Korean visitors by the end of the year. Popular destinations include Japanese cities like Tokyo, Fukuoka, Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, and Sapporo. Travel companies are offering special cherry blossom tours, such as cruises and sightseeing packages, and providing discounts for travelers.
