Recently, the global aviation industry is focusing on eco-friendly solutions with Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), a green alternative that can reduce carbon emissions by up to 80%. SAF is produced from waste resources like used cooking oil and corn oil, helping to decrease the aviation sector's greenhouse gas emissions significantly. South Korea's national airlines have started using a 1% blend of SAF for flights between Incheon and Japan. The government aims to expand this practice to all international flights departing from South Korea by 2027.
