Major Korean theme parks are offering varied summer programs blending K-horror, retro countryside “chon-cance” (촌캉스: rural vacation), K-pop ghosts and cooling water attractions. Lotte World Adventure runs “Unsealed: Yokai Chaos” through Aug. 30, transforming the park into a yokai (요괴: traditional Korean spirits/monsters) village with AR stamp hunts, an AI-powered “yokai hunter” photo ID, horror shows and a folk museum photo zone. Everland’s “Chon-cance Night Stroll” mixes rustic nostalgia and night scares with retro-style discounts, a village-themed zone, mission games like a haunted train and daytime water events including a giant waterfall and water show. Seoul Land presents “K-Naryang Special” (K납량특집: Korean-style summer ghost events) with K-pop ghost dance battles, AR pet-ghost photo cards, a K-ghost maze and a large-scale “Water Wars & K-Music Water Pop” featuring a pirate-theme water battle. All parks combine frightening and family-friendly attractions, nighttime performances and cooling water play to beat the heat.
