Busan offers a soulful summer getaway where beaches meet art. In Gwangalli, Migwang Gallery is hosting a month-long summer special through July, featuring 21 local artists across generations—from established masters to vibrant young creators—open 11:00–18:00 (closed Sundays). At Asti Hotel near Busan Station, “THE ART OF REST” (July 10–Sept 10) presents a wellness art show with six internationally known contemporary artists including Yoshitomo Nara and Alex Katz, pairing art with relaxation (EXOBIO is a project partner). At Village de Ananti in Gijang, a major retrospective of realist master Alice Dalton Brown runs through Sept 27, exhibiting some 120 works that capture light, breeze, and intimate landscapes—an invitation to contemplative rest. These exhibitions create new ways to enjoy a summer holiday in Busan by combining seaside leisure with meaningful art encounters.
