A special photo exhibition marking the 80th anniversary of the Maeil Newspaper runs Aug 11–23 at Daegu Culture & Arts Center, showcasing 400 photographs across 11 themed sections that capture pivotal moments in recent Korean history. The show also features renewable energy projects like the 2021 Hapcheon Dam floating solar farm, 2025 milestones such as Gyeongju hosting the APEC summit and Yeongilman Port’s emergence as a forward base for Arctic shipping routes, and 2026 demonstrations of Level‑4 autonomous shuttles as Daegu pursues an AI‑robot hub strategy with five targeted high-tech industries.
