The 2026 6th Gangneung Beach Beer Festival concluded successfully on July 5 after three days (July 3–5) at Gyeongpo Beach central plaza, attracting about 125,000 attendees. Organizers expanded the festival area into three zones — a main beer zone, Blue Wave zone, and a new Solmeong zone (a pine-forest relaxation area) — to offer daytime-to-night experiences for families, friends and couples. Eighty-three vendors served craft beers and local foods, while the Blue Wave stage hosted invited acts, GBBF bubble time, EDM Day and a national busking final. Interactive programs included water-gun battles and a “beer olympics,” and the Solmeong zone provided mellow busking and sound-cooling for a relaxed atmosphere. The city emphasized environmental efforts using reusable containers and coordinated safety, traffic and food hygiene measures. Officials said they will continue developing the beach festival combining Gangneung’s coastal assets and local content to make it a repeat-summer attraction.
