Asia-to-Asia Arts Forum in Seoul Brings Together Cultural Institutions from Uzbekistan, India, Thailand, and Pakistan

The Korea Arts & Culture Education Service (Arko) hosts an 'Asia to Asia' public forum in Seoul on the 13th, inviting cultural institution representatives from Uzbekistan, India, Thailand, Pakistan and Korea to explore institution- and field-based cooperation under its Global South initiative. The two-session forum will feature presentations on each institution’s identity, core functions, international exchange projects and challenges, followed by discussions on institutional conditions and collaboration models. Visiting delegates will tour arts sites in Seoul and Busan for a week after the forum. Participants include Uzbekistan’s Art and Culture Development Foundation (ACDF), the Serendipity Arts Foundation (India), Thailand’s Office of Contemporary Art and Culture (OCAC), the Lahore Biennale Foundation (Pakistan), and the Korea Arts Council (Arko). Key figures attending are Azizbek Mannopov (ACDF), who has led major international projects including a Louvre Uzbekistan show and the Bukhara Biennale; Patcharaporn Tantatanai (OCAC), overseeing Mekong-region artist residencies; Kudsia Rahim (Lahore Biennale), known for addressing climate and urban issues through art; and Smriti Rajgarhia (Serendipity Arts Foundation), joining online.
