Woongjin Foods reports a more than 40% year-on-year increase in Vietnam sales of its popular soy-based drink 'Achim Hae-sal' (literally "morning sunlight") in the first half of the year, selling about 10 million 500ml bottles. Since entering Vietnam in 2015, the company expanded distribution to major retailers like AEON, Bach Hoa Xanh, WinMart, Lotte Mart, and Emart, and strengthened local operations by founding Woongjin Foods F&B VINA last November. Localized product launches—such as 'Achim Hae-sal Matcha' and a Vietnam-exclusive 'Achim Dae-chu' (made with Korean jujube but reduced sweetness for local tastes)—sold out initial shipments within three months. Woongjin attributes the growth to growing interest in K-food/K-beverages, expanded retail networks, and targeted product adaptation for Vietnamese consumers.
