Gimsan Ginseng Infused Samgyetang Festival Runs July 10–12

The 6th Gimsan Samgyetang Festival will be held July 10–12 at the Gimsan World Ginseng Expo Plaza in Chungcheongnam-do. Visitors can sample a variety of samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) dishes made with local Gimsan ginseng, including specialty versions like Gimsan neungi samgyetang, abalone samgyetang, mung-bean samgyetang, and scorched-rice samgyetang. Local restaurants will run sales booths, and celebrity chefs and food YouTubers will host cooking events and demos. Daily highlights include a nutritionist-led “Healthy Cooking Class” on July 11 and a “Star Chef Cooking Dinnershow” on July 12 featuring chef Park Eun-young blending Chinese cuisine with ginseng. Family-friendly attractions include a large water play area called “Gimsan Summer Samkangseu,” slides, splash features, water-gun battles, bubble concerts, and eco-friendly foam parties. Organizers encourage visitors to enjoy both the healthful samgyetang and the festival’s experiential programs.
