Seoul Holds Citizen Vote to Pick 25 Local Hotspots for Promotion

Seoul is running an online citizen vote until the 26th to choose 25 neighborhood attractions for the 'Seoul Edition 25' program, which identifies and promotes local tourism spots. From 500 nominations, officials shortlisted two candidate sites in each of the city's 25 districts (gu) and citizens pick one per district via the program website; voters must select candidates in at least five districts. The final list will be announced on the 30th. Past selections included Hongjecheon artificial waterfall and Jungnang Rose Park. The city plans to link chosen sites with local businesses, community resources and creators to boost stay-and-explore tourism and support neighborhood economies.
