Gangwon Province Wins Top Content Award at Korea International Travel Fair

Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province won the top prize in the local-government content category at the Korea International Travel Fair held at KINTEX in Goyang. Under the theme "Summer Playlist, Gangwon!" the province ran an interactive booth promoting summer attractions, local festivals and cuisine to attract visitors. It highlighted recommended destinations for the month such as Jeongseon’s Mindungsan Doline (a karst sinkhole-like landscape) and Donghae’s Mureung Byeolyucheonji and Mangsang Beach, and held quiz events to engage attendees. The provincial tourism director said the fair was a valuable opportunity to showcase regional tourism assets and pledged continued efforts to raise Gangwon’s profile as a premier destination in Korea.
