Gyeongsangnam-do has selected seven top summer picks for July, combining cooling seaside spots, seasonal seafood, mountain valleys, and cultural events. Highlights include Samcheonpo’s dolmuno (stone octopus) and Tongyeong’s jopibollak (rockfish) as local summer delicacies; Namhae’s Songjeong Solbaram Beach, a pine-forested beach popular for beginner surfing; and Haman Lotus Theme Park, where 700-year-old lotus seeds (Araronghoryeon) were revived. Cultural offerings include the Miryang Performing Arts Festival (July 21–Aug 1) featuring theatre, dance, and music, while Sancheong’s Jirisan mountain valleys offer cool streams and trekking.
