Kooksoondang Adopts Gyeongpo Beach for 4th Year, Runs Cleanup and Responsible Drinking Campaigns

Kooksoondang announced it has adopted Gyeongpo Beach in Gangwon Province for the fourth consecutive year as a ‘companion beach’ (반려해변) and carried out beach cleanups and environmental protection campaigns. Employees and partner staff collected and logged pollution data along Gyeongpo Beach to support future marine policy and response strategies, and ran outreach promoting proper drinking culture for nearby businesses. The activities were part of the Ministry of Employment and Labor–led '2026 Win-Win Partnership Support Project' and involved workers from the Hoengseong brewery. Since adopting the beach in 2023, Kooksoondang has completed nine ESG events, including joint public-private cleanups and marine conservation campaigns. The company said preserving a clean natural environment is essential for producing good alcohol, and continued the effort as part of its corporate social responsibility and ESG management ahead of the peak holiday season.
