The Herzen Ensemble, a chamber group named after the German word for “heart” (Herz) and founded in 2022, will hold its 4th annual concert on July 11 at Geoam Art Hall in Seoul. Part of their yearly Farbе (Farbe, German for “color”) series, this season’s theme is Emerald, chosen to express vitality, hope, and enduring beauty through music. The program features Alexander Borodin’s String Quartet No.2 and Robert Schumann’s Piano Quintet Op.44, showcasing Russian and German Romantic chamber masterpieces. Performers include violinists Lee Hwa-young and Jeon Yu-jin, violist Lee Eun-hye, cellist Cho Yeo-eun, and pianist Jeon Yu-ra. The ensemble aims to share deep emotional resonance with the audience. Admission is free and the concert starts at 4 PM.
