Daegu’s Dalseo Arts Center stages the seventh-season original musical 'Wolgok' from May 9–11, dramatizing the Imjin War (Japanese invasions of Korea, 1592–1598) militia leader Woo Bae-seon. The institution has led production development throughout, using mostly local artists and securing the largest national arts grant in the country this year to expand the show. New set pieces—including a shrine-inspired structure to represent the Japanese camp—and an added solo number for the antagonist Kageyoshi heighten the contrast between militia and invaders. Returning lead Lee Chung-ju reprises Woo Bae-seon, joined by newcomer Park Si-won as Kageyoshi; the creative team emphasizes a human, warm perspective on history and aims to tour beyond Daegu. Performance times: Thu 2 PM; Fri 2 PM & 7:30 PM; Sat 2 PM & 6 PM. Tickets 30,000 KRW (Dalseo residents 15,000 KRW).
