Starting today, the restriction on the number of liquor bottles that can be brought duty-free into South Korea has been lifted. Previously, travelers were allowed only two bottles, but now there's no limit on the number, as long as they adhere to the 2L volume and $400 price cap. The duty-free industry has responded with significant promotions. Shilla Duty-Free is offering a 'Liquor Set' event, providing miniatures for $1 with the purchase of two or more bottles and up to 80% off on 500ml bottles. They are also introducing a DIY set-building feature for various brands. Shinsegae Duty-Free is hosting online promos with significant discounts on both small bottles and sets, anticipating increased demand for Chinese liquor and other varieties due to the rule change.
