The acclaimed two-person psychological play 'Unchain' reopened on May 16 at YES24 Stage 2 in Jongno, Seoul, returning after three previous seasons since its 2017 premiere. The drama centers on Mark, who searches for traces of his missing daughter Julie, and Singer, who was kidnapped and trapped in a basement without knowing why. As they probe each other to survive, the play intensely explores memory, truth, guilt, and compassion, revealing the story gradually through dialogue and memory gaps rather than a single explanation. A metronome sound onstage punctuates the tension. Director Lee Jae-joon joins this season; the cast includes Choi Ho-seung, Yang Ji-won, Son Yoo-dong as Mark and Choi Seok-jin, Kim Ki-taek, Park Jeong-hyeok, Kang Eun-bin as Singer. Run through September 6. (YES24 Stage is a well-known Seoul theater venue)
