LiveX, with Busan Tourism Organization and L2Plan, held BHST (Busan Hair Salon Trend) 2026 from June 29–30 across Signiel Busan, Nurimaru APEC House, and the Jeonpo-dong area. About 750 hair and beauty professionals from Korea, Japan, Taiwan and elsewhere attended the event, a part of LiveX’s global beauty network initiative that blends beauty industry, tourism, education and cultural content.
Day one featured seminars, technical demonstrations and hair shows by global experts — including speakers from Japan’s GOALD group and Taiwan’s SIEG — plus a keynote and show by stylist Cha Hong on design philosophy. International and domestic brands such as DEMI, Repi, CurlyShield, Toms, Shiseido Professional, Naruto Scissors and BeautyInfra ran booths with product demos and hands-on experiences; a K-beauty experience zone offered hair styling and makeup trials.
On day two, wellness programs tied to Busan tourism included a sound walk on Dongbaek Island and a yacht tour at Gwangalli Beach. Cha Hong led a special seminar for about 150 local beauty students on career paths and design thinking, while Busan-based makeup brand MUP_SY held a K-idol makeup class. Organizers say BHST aims to grow as a Busan MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions) signature event linking K-beauty, tourism and business. LiveX plans further Asian expansion, targeting new outlets in Japan this year and moves into China and Thailand by 2027.
