Travel agencies in South Korea are cautiously restarting Dubai and Abu Dhabi tour packages as hopes for a US-Iran ceasefire grow. After a March disruption that halted many Middle East and long-haul routes, some operators report a pickup in bookings—one firm saw reservation rates for routes via the Middle East rise 138% after ceasefire expectations. Most new bookings start from September onward; agencies expect stronger recovery in the winter (November–March) when demand normally peaks and events like the F1 races boost interest. Constraints remain: the Korean Foreign Ministry still issues a Level 3 travel advisory (departure recommended) for Israel, Iran and Lebanon, traveler insurance is limited for those areas, and Korean Air has suspended Incheon–Dubai flights until August 10. Airlines such as Emirates are operating regular flights and running transit promotions, but firms stress customer safety, ongoing real-time monitoring, and that Israel tours remain suspended. Overall, agencies say full normalization likely won’t be evident until airlines fully restore routes and security conditions stabilize, with winter seen as the potential turning point.
