The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) has partnered with Wefun, a corporate welfare platform serving about 10,000 client firms and 300,000 employees, to promote and expand the “Worker Vacation Support” program from June 30 to July 17. Using Wefun’s network, KTO aims to raise awareness among small- and medium-sized enterprise workers and encourage participation. Under the scheme, workers who save 200,000 won receive matching support of 100,000 won each from their company and the government, giving a total of 400,000 won in domestic travel credits. Participants gain benefits like points at vacation shops, and top-performing employers may receive extra welfare services from Wefun. This year’s intake target is 145,000 people, on a first-come, first-served basis until funds run out; participating companies also receive government awards and accreditation advantages. KTO says the collaboration will strengthen workplace welfare and make domestic travel more accessible for workers.
