Seoul’s Children’s Museum, Seoul Imagination Nara, will open a new exhibition “Picture-Book Workshop: Small and Special” on July 4. The series follows last year’s popular “Picture-Book Workshop: Quirky and Inventive” and aims to help children develop literacy and expressive skills through the structure and visual language of picture books. The exhibition guides children to discover and compose their own stories by experiencing the picture-book creation process, with opportunities for self-exploration and storytelling. Parents are invited to participate by listening to children’s thoughts, reading together, and leaving messages or memories. A reading area will offer around 100 picture books, and various participatory programs will run alongside the exhibits. 최인성 (Choi In-seong), Seoul’s childcare official, said the exhibition was designed to help children find special meaning in everyday, “small” experiences and to foster family empathy through shared stories.
