Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) and low-cost carrier T'way Airlines signed an agreement to attract foreign visitors through regional airports, starting with Daegu Airport. They will run joint promotions combining air travel and local tourism benefits; Daegu Airport will host a welcome booth providing food vouchers and local consumption coupons along with tourist welcome kits. KTO will develop an extended K-Heritage tourism package linking Daegu, Gyeongju, and Andong to create longer-stay routes and regional synergy. T'way plans to increase the share of foreign passengers on Daegu routes and support overseas marketing, later expanding cooperation to other regional airports such as Gimhae, Cheongju, Jeju, and Yangyang. The initiative aims to attract nearby markets (e.g., Japan, Taiwan) and boost regional stays and spending.
