T'way Air signed an MOU with the Korea Tourism Organization at Daegu International Airport to increase inbound tourists through regional international airports. The partners will expand demand on Japan and Taiwan routes, add seat capacity, run joint overseas marketing with local OTAs (online travel agencies), and develop tourism packages. Travelers will get discounts for local attractions and other promotions. Data on arrivals, load factors, and tourism-sales performance will be jointly managed. The initiative will extend to Gimhae, Cheongju, Jeju, and Yangyang airports. T'way, which earlier introduced international transfer services and the variable boarding bridge 'swing bridge' at Daegu, said the cooperation aims to revitalize local tourism in Daegu–Gyeongbuk and strengthen regional airport competitiveness.
