A Klook global survey ‘Travel Pulse’ finds South Korea’s MZ generation (Millennials and Gen Z) increasingly uses AI tools for travel planning—32% use AI for in-trip help like translation and advice, 30% for route planning, and smaller shares for price comparison, itinerary creation and discovering new destinations or activities. Nearly half (47%) have used AI to find destination or attraction information, and 14% plan to try AI. However, when it comes to booking or paying, travelers prefer verified, experience-based information: 42% trust online travel communities most, 39% trust platform reviews, and 38% trust friends and family. Only 22% say they trust AI-provided information, and 68% prefer travel platforms over AI for trusted guidance. Klook Korea’s head notes that while AI aids information discovery, confirmed user experiences remain crucial at the purchase stage.
