T'way Air has opened public recruitment for new B737 first officers through its careers website until July 6. The airline seeks pilots holding domestic transport or commercial pilot licenses, with instrument-flight limited if applicable, at least 250 total flight hours (excluding rear-seat and rotary-wing time), a Class 1 aviation medical certificate, Aviation English speaking level 4 or higher, and radio operator and JET (jet-type) qualifications (JET may be obtained before hire). Preference given to candidates with B737 type-rating. The selection includes document screening, aptitude and written tests, interviews and practical checks; successful hires will start in November. The move comes as T'way — which recently changed its company name to Trinity Air (subject to approvals) — secures crew ahead of restoring flights after earlier service cuts; cabin crew took unpaid leave in April for May–June due to route reductions amid a spike in jet fuel prices from Middle East tensions. The airline is watching Middle East developments closely because fuel price volatility directly affects operating costs.
