Queensland, Australia, celebrates winter with a string of affordable festivals from June to October. Scenic Rim hosts "Eat Local Month" in June with farm tours, winery visits and Long Lunches that connect visitors with producers and local food. In mid-August, Surfers Paradise stages the free Pacific Air Show Gold Coast where aerial displays light up the sky above the beach.
