Pianist Lee Jae-wan Solo Recital; 6th Yeongsan Art Hall Youth Concert

Pianist Lee Jae-wan will give a solo recital on July 2 at Yeongsan Art Hall in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. Trained at Yonsei University and Germany’s Berlin University of the Arts (master’s) and Essen Folkwang (advanced performance and chamber music), Lee has won multiple competitions and performed across Europe. He has served as répétiteur at Italy’s Cervo Summer Academy and as an accompanying instructor at the Düsseldorf music school, appeared on KBS Classic FM, released recordings, and now teaches as an assistant professor at the Catholic University while performing with Ensemble Esprit. His recital, titled “Romantic Composer Series III,” features Franz Liszt’s complete Années de pèlerinage: Deuxième année — Italie. Contact CLASSICO for details.
Yeongsan Art Hall’s 6th “Youth Concert” will be held July 5, showcasing emerging Korean artists in a daylong program split between gugak (Korean traditional music) and Western classical music. The 2:00 PM gugak series features gayageum players Jeon Ju-eun, Moon Chae-yeon, Lee Ju-yeon, Kim Ju-a, Mo Yoon-seul and ajaeng player Yoo Byung-kyu performing sanjo and contemporary traditional works. The 7:30 PM classical series presents organist Kim Min-young, pianists Yoon So-young and Jung Na-rin, and cellist Kang Yeo-eun with repertoire from Bach to Chopin, highlighting the range and potential of young performers.
