Hadelich Performs Unaccompanied Violin Recital in Korea

World-renowned violinist Augustin Hadelich will give unaccompanied violin recitals in Korea on September 12 (Gwangju) and September 13 (Seoul, Lotte Concert Hall). The roughly two-hour program features solo works spanning baroque to contemporary styles, including Telemann’s Unaccompanied Violin Fantasias, Parkinson’s “Blue/s Forms,” Ysaye’s Sonata No.5, Paganini Caprices Nos.19, 6 and 16, and a complete second partita by Bach, concluding with the famed “Chaconne.” The program highlights the expressive range of a single violin across eras; Hadelich will play his 1744 Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesù instrument (Leduc, ex Szeryng). This Korea stop begins an Asia tour that continues to Japan, China and Singapore. Tickets go on sale on the 26th via the Lotte Concert Hall site and NOL Tickets.
