Helinox Wear Wins Red Dot 'Best of the Best' for Design Innovation

Helinox Wear, launched by Kolon Industries FnC, won the prestigious Red Dot Design Award 2026 "Best of the Best" in product design for its Eclipse Pack Down Jacket, scoring 98/100. This marks the first time a Korean outdoor apparel brand took the top prize in the product design category. Helinox Wear follows an "edition" collection system (numbered releases) and focuses on "wearable gear"—blending the brand's lightweight gear DNA with clothing. The Eclipse Pack Down Jacket (Edition 1) sold out within a month and features a 30-panel curved modular construction that emphasizes warmth and the brand's Eclipse silhouette; most down jackets use 8–12 straight panels. It also uses a packable link system for compression, layering, and portability, achieving just 320g in size L by combining ultralight materials with European goose down. The brand will extend these pack technologies and Eclipse curvature design into upcoming seasons, exploring new materials and categories. Helinox Wear held a talk session in Starfield COEX Mall to highlight the jacket and discuss the brand philosophy with industry and outdoor community attendees.
