NAVER's limited marketplace KREAM has launched its own fashion label, AKRYL, debuting a 2026 Fall/Winter pre-collection on July 2 and planning full operations from September. The brand was created in collaboration with Japanese creative director TANAKA YO and emphasizes "timeless basics" designed for long-term wear. AKRYL reinterprets early 1900s American casual through a Japanese lens, drawing on Amekaji (a Japanese take on American casual), prep, hippie, military, and workwear influences to create modern everyday pieces like jackets, shirts, and pants. KREAM will host a popup at its Dosan flagship store "Yosae" from July 3–12 to showcase the collection, explain the design philosophy, and offer interactive experiences before unveiling the main Fall/Winter 2026 collection in September.
