Gallery Artcube2R2 will present “CONTINUUM: Songs of the Four Seasons” from next month to mark soprano Sumi Jo’s 40th debut anniversary. The exhibition frames her four-decade artistic journey through the theme of the four seasons, pairing works by leading Korean modern and contemporary artists—including Kim Whanki, Jeon Hyuk-rim, Yun Hyong-keun, Lee Ufan, and others—with Sumi Jo’s life and music to create a narrative where visual art and vocal performance resonate together. Curated by Jung Yu-rim of SMI Entertainment, the show aims to connect paintings’ seasonal moods to the soprano’s musical world; SMI says this commemorative project marks the start of a new chapter that could expand into broader cultural collaborations. The gallery hopes visitors will feel the emotional continuity (CONTINUUM) between time, art, and feeling.
