The fourth Korea Expo in Paris (Oct. 18–20), co-hosted by the Korea International Trade Association and Expo Forum, attracted a record 35,406 visitors including about 7,598 buyers, despite heatwave conditions. The event featured 215 Korean SMEs from 12 local governments across 405 booths, a near-double increase in scale from earlier editions. Strong B2B matchmaking drew buyers from major French retailers like Le Bon Marché, Galeries Lafayette and Carrefour, resulting in 267 business consultations and growing export opportunities for K-beauty, K-desserts and other sectors. Attendees praised the mix of B2B and B2C programming—such as K-pop dance contests, taekwondo performances, cooking classes and Hangeul (Korean alphabet) workshops—for boosting consumer interest and market feedback. Organizers plan further expansion with upcoming Korea Expo events in Tokyo and Los Angeles, positioning the expo as a global platform for Korean products and culture.
