Israel Ministry of Tourism Prepares Recovery with 4300M Shekel Support Package

As the Middle East conflict moves into a ceasefire phase, Israel’s Ministry of Tourism has announced a 43 million shekel (about 17 billion won) recovery package to prepare for a return of foreign visitors. Proposed by Tourism Minister Haim Katz, the plan includes 35 million shekels (≈14 billion won) to help inbound tourism operators retain key staff and 8 million shekels (≈3.2 billion won) for international marketing. The marketing fund will back overseas ad campaigns, participation in international travel fairs, specialist events, digital marketing and other promotional activities to maintain Israel’s tourism marketing infrastructure. The measures — additional to a previous 70 million shekel support allocation after the October 2023 war — aim to preserve industry expertise, networks and readiness so operators can respond quickly when demand recovers. The Israel Tourism Office in Seoul will continue promoting Israel’s historical and cultural attractions, including holy sites and Mediterranean destinations.
