AU Brands, operator of Rockfish Weatherwear known for rain boots and fashion accessories, has passed the preliminary review for listing on the KOSDAQ. The company's revenue doubled to 38.7 billion KRW in 2023 due to the brand's popularity. Originally a British brand, Rockfish Weatherwear was acquired by AU Brands in 2022 and is now positioned as a K-fashion brand for global expansion. The brand has opened flagship stores in Seoul, becoming a tourist attraction, and expanded into Greater China with pop-up stores. AU Brands plans to further penetrate markets in China, Macau, and Thailand this year.
