Incheon’s Inspire Entertainment Resort on Yeongjong Island is promoting a ‘summer playcation’ as an alternative to overseas travel. Located 10 minutes from Incheon Airport, the large indoor resort features the tropical-themed indoor waterpark ‘Splash Bay’ with attractions like the 178m two-person tube slide ‘Aqua Racer’, a lazy river, kid-friendly water play areas, and private cabanas. Splash Bay is now open to non-guests and will run adult-only evening sessions during peak season. The resort’s digital entertainment avenue ‘Aurora’ showcases a 150m LED media-art corridor with immersive shows (including a giant pink whale) and a dramatic kinetic chandelier in the rotunda. Dining is diverse, billed as a “passport-free culinary world tour,” from seasonal Korean and regional dishes to international menus—highlighted by a weekly indoor K-food night market called the ‘Aurora Night Market’ (Saturday nights) featuring street-food favorites. Seasonal restaurant offerings, summer buffet additions and wellness-focused dinner courses are available through August 31. The resort also hosts sports-viewing events and themed F&B sets during the World Cup period, plus participatory games and family-friendly activities. Inspire is selling three ‘Summer Playcation’ packages (through Aug. 24 for stays until Aug. 31) that include four-hour Splash Bay access, minibar credit, F&B credits and optional dining perks.
