Missto Holdings, known for running FILA in China, has become a key distributor for K-fashion brands like MARDI MERCREDI, MARITHE FRANCOIS GIRBAUD, and MATIN KIM in Greater China. By leveraging long-standing local networks and deep understanding of Korean brand identity, Missto rapidly scaled these labels: MARDI MERCREDI saw 190% sales growth a year after entering China, and Rave (LAIVE) grew 200% in its first year. The company insourced digital operations—running livestream studios, influencer (wanghong) networks, and accounts on platforms such as XiaoHongShu and Douyin (Chinese TikTok)—to convert online buzz into offline store success. Rather than chasing trends, Missto focuses on preserving brand identity while adapting marketing and distribution to local tastes, targeting MZ (young) consumers who prioritize brand story and aesthetics. The firm plans a portfolio expansion, introducing five new brands across categories (men’s high-end contemporary, women’s casual, athleisure), including Junzhi (Juun.J) from Samsung C&T, to build a balanced, long-term presence in the Chinese K-fashion market.
