Toyota’s all-new RAV4 was test-driven across 127 km in HEV, PHEV, and the new GR Sport trim. The GR Sport, built on the PHEV powertrain with input from Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR), delivers sharp initial acceleration and sporty handling—23.8 kg·m of torque helps a two-ton SUV feel more like a performance car. Chassis reinforcements, front performance dampers, and upgraded rear suspension improve stiffness and reduce vibration. Inside, D-seats use non-slip suede with anti-static features, evoking racing seats. The PHEV XSE emphasizes practicality and premium touches (panoramic sunroof, HUD, ventilated seats) with an EV range of about 77 km and fast charging to 80% in ~35 minutes. The HEV targets fuel efficiency, with XLE rated up to 19 km/L and improved acceleration from a smaller battery and system upgrades. Styling updates include a hammerhead front and sharp LED headlights; a 12.3-inch screen and driver-focused controls reflect Japanese intuitive design. HEV XLE starts around 49.27 million KRW.
