Korea Craft Week 2026 runs May 19–28 with over 450 craft events nationwide, centered in Buyeo (충남 부여). Now in its 9th year, the program spotlights regional craft resources through village workshops, market stalls along the Baekmagang river, craft “runcations,” outdoor tea gatherings, and hands-on maker sessions. Five regions and ten cities host themed programs — from ecological craft shows using native plants in Sejong–Gongju, healing trips linking Jeonju craft streets with Gochang intangible heritage, to a “sea jazz” performance-festival in Busan–Ulsan, industry-themed shows in Chilgok–Gumi, and studio-hopping tours in Jeju–Seogwipo. A special exhibition “Local Sense” at the Korea Craft & Design Foundation gallery presents works by 12 regional artists. Travel packages centered on Buyeo and discounts for local stays are offered to encourage craft tourism and boost regional economies.
