Ahead of South Korea’s match against Mexico in the 2026 FIFA CONCACAF World Cup on the 19th, chicken restaurants in Seoul were unusually busy early in the morning with reservations and takeout orders. Genesis BBQ Group reported dozens to over 100-person group bookings at branches near offices and universities starting the day before, and bulk delivery and pickup orders exceeding 100 whole chickens were placed.
