The 2026 MCT (Magok Culture & Technology) Festival will take place June 20–21 in Magok, Seoul, blending science, arts and community events across COEX Magok, Magok Plaza and Magok Central Avenue. The festival opens June 19 with the MCT International Conference on “Re-coding & Resonance,” discussing social challenges in the AI era. Weekend highlights include interactive performances like “Magok Citizen Together,” a socially minded photo exhibition “Archive Photo Exhibition: A Thousand Cameras” (supported by Fujifilm), an outdoor reading lounge “Reading Magok: Picnic Library,” and large-scale media art on the COEX Magok screen. Food-and-beverage K-brand zones, a flea-market-style MCT Market, and the road-closed “Road Beer Festival” offer hands-on experiences. The festival culminates in the MCT Big Concert with KOMCA (Korea Music Copyright Association) featuring K-pop artists—Im Chang-jung, Hwang Garam, Youngpassi, Song Ha-ye on June 20 and Kwon Eunbi, DK, Kim Ki-tae, Jamgolbus on June 21. Some festival proceeds will be returned to the local community, and organizers emphasize the mix of entertainment and forward-looking urban ideas in Magok’s R&D hub.
