Ballet Star Jeon Min-cheol Returns as Prince in Swan Lake

Jeon Min-cheol, a first soloist with the Mariinsky Ballet (Russia) and YAGP Grand Prix winner, will perform the role of Prince Siegfried in Universal Ballet's production of Swan Lake at Seoul’s Arts Center Opera House from August 14–23. He joins leading Universal Ballet dancers including Hong Hyang-gi as Odette and other principal partners. The National Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by Kim Sung-jin, music director of the KNCO (Korean National Youth Chamber Orchestra). Swan Lake, one of the three great classical ballets by Tchaikovsky, tells the love story of Princess Odette, who is transformed into a swan by a spell. Universal Ballet first staged this production in 1992 and recently updated the costumes after many years.
