The Korea Grand Sale 2025, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization, successfully attracted over 346,000 foreign tourists from January 15 to February 28, doubling last year's figures. As one of Korea's major shopping and cultural tourism festivals, it aims to boost tourism during the off-peak season (January-February) and stimulate consumer spending. This year saw participation from a record 1680 companies offering discounts and benefits across various sectors like travel, shopping, dining, and experiences. The K-Travel and K-Shopping promotions were especially successful, with major airlines, online travel agencies, and brands like Shilla and Lotte participating. The event also enhanced convenience services for foreigners, like transportation discounts and reservation services. Diverse K-content experiences were offered, including K-pop, food, beauty, and heritage activities, with participation from 856 foreigners from 70 countries. The satisfaction rate was high, and many participants expressed interest in revisiting Korea during future events.
