Korean Food Promotion Institute Hosts 'Blueberry Sikhye' Class for Lunar New Year

The Korean Food Promotion Institute and Sangha Farm hosted a 'Blueberry Sikhye' (a traditional Korean sweet rice drink) making class at Hansik Cultural Space in preparation for Lunar New Year. Participants first learned the traditional method of making sikhye under the guidance of Korean cuisine experts. Afterward, they used local blueberries from Gochang-gun to make a concentrate and create blueberry sikhye.
Additionally, Sangha Farm introduced two cafe menus using 'Our Rice Sikhye' and 'Blueberry Sikhye', showcasing the traditional drinks' unique appeal. The Chairman of Korean Food Promotion Institute, Lee Gyumin, expressed hopes that the collaboration would boost interest in traditional beverages and underscored their commitment to offering various Korean food experiences in the future.
