Five-star hotels are lowering rates, offering promotions as domestic tourists opt for international travel destinations like Japan, China, and Vietnam. Despite March's reputation as a slightly low season, the usual influx of family and spring flower visitors is not offsetting the overall tourism decrease. Jeju's economy, heavily reliant on tourism, faces long-term challenges. Consequently, many luxury hotels have reduced room rates to around 200,000 KRW per night. The difficulty in attracting foreign tourists further complicates the situation, amidst various global and regional factors.
