The Seoul city government announced an extensive renovation of the greenhouse at Children's Grand Park in Gwangjin-gu, which will be completed by June next year. Established in 1972, the greenhouse is being upgraded following architectural and landscape design contests. The new design, based on the winning concepts "Encyclopedia of Plants" and "Platform at the Center of Children's Grand Park," aims to create a plant-centered garden space for everyone to enjoy. Key changes include converting the central building into a single-story structure for improved flow, adding a "greenery cafe," and creating distinct garden zones including play and forest areas. This renovation intends to enhance family-oriented plant appreciation activities.
